The mission of the UX and digital development manager is to make the shopping experience of the customer as effortless and simple as possible and therefore increase the conversion rate on the website.
Customer journey. As a UX and digital development manager, you analyze the customer journey on the website. You do so by setting up and developing the AB testing process. Based on these analyses you develop improvements in content flows and sales channels as well as the right monitoring and improvement tools.
Digital roadmap build-up and business requirements. Based upon the customer journey, you create and propose a digital roadmap including priority listing. You translate the consolidated list of issues and improvements into concrete actions for improvements and business requirements.
Priority management. You enter the business requirements in the IT process and provide additional clarification on business requirements where needed. As UX and digital development manager, you ensure priorities are respected and present impact of deviations to e-commerce management.
Release management. Within your role, you will monitor the IT delivery as well as the release schedule and set up business testing. When the results are in, you bring them back to the IT teams and give a go or no-go decision.
Relationship management. The UX and digital development manager acts as a liaison officer between different stakeholders. You design efficient communication bridges between them and increase understanding of e-commerce targets with the IT team.
Knowledge development. You are someone who keeps up-to-date about trends, by self-learning and by attending relevant conferences. In doing so you gain knowledge on technical developments and innovations with regards to web shops and customer journey developments. You share your learnings and insights with the team to increase efficiency.
